LORD TOMLINSON, THE G20 SUMMIT ALL THAT!

Lord John Tomlinson, former Labour MP, MEP and Parliamentary Secretary to Harold Wilson, will be speaking at the next meeting of Labour International Costa Blanca to be held at L’Ancora Tennis, Arenal, Javea on 14 April starting at 2.30pm. The meeting is open to Labour Party members and supporters.

Lord Tomlinson will bring to the meeting his vast political experience in both the UK and European Parliaments in reviewing the current turmoil in the world financial markets and the impact of the recent G20 summit on the European and world political scene. He will also share his thoughts on the forthcoming European Elections.
Lord Tomlinson was MP for the Meriden constituency for 5 years before entering the European Parliament for the new Birmingham West Euro Constituency in 1984. He retired as an MEP in 1999 when he joined the House of Lords as Baron Tomlinson of Walsall.

His considerable political experience together with his lifelong trade union background is being put to good effect as he remains a very active, working member of the House of Lords.  When political duties permit, Lord Tomlinson spends time at his villa in Elche where he and his wife enjoy the Spanish climate and lifestyle.
