NEC - 2011 Election Feedback Message from Ann Black, NEC
Latest thanks to everyone for election feedback, especially from Scotland,
Wales and the north - I've tried to pass on as much as possible. A question put
was:
“Is there a case for direct Welsh and Scots representation on the NEC?"
Thanks to candidates, activists, MPs, councillors, members and
fellow-travellers for campaigning through the year -
congratulations to our 800 new councillors, and commiserations
to those who didn’t quite make it this time.
The NEC meets on Tuesday 17 May, and I’d appreciate feedback
from all parts of the country on successes, setbacks, reasons for
either, and what you need from the leadership and the NEC, so
that this year is a genuine milestone towards winning the next
general election and not a false dawn.
Also a reminder that consultation on Peter Hain’s Refounding
Labour paper closes on 24 June - it is available on the party
website, or I can send it as a .pdf file. ”

14th April - Quiz Night in support of PSOE
A quiz to raise funds to support PSOE's local election campaign took place on Thursday 14 April at Don Quijote's on the Moraira Benitachall Road.. €7 entry fee included a single course (chili con carne or similar). About 14 members and friends attended together with some 14 PSOE members, including the mayoral candidate, José Chulvi. The raffle raised over €200. The quiz was hosted by George Stevenson with a well selected mixture of questions to suit both the Spanish and British contestants. A very successful night in all!
